About the Parker Post

DCVMF Support

One of the many support projects of the Parker Post has been the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation (www.dcvmf.org). The post has provided assistance with events to  help raise the $120,000 funds to construct the monument. A tribute to the 25,000 veterans currently living in Douglas County.

The nation's largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth, advocating patriotism, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers.

The organization was founded in 1919 by veterans returning from Europe after World War I, and was later chartered as an official American patriotic society.
