• American Legion High School Oratorical Contest
  I am pleased to report that Post 1864 was extremely well represented recently at the Denver regional contest of the American Legion Oratorical Program. Tayanna Todd was selected, after an intense competition and an outstanding performance (i.e., she nailed it), to represent Denver going forward in the Colorado state competition.
• Breaking news! Our candidate, Tayanna Todd, went on to take the big prize and won the Colorado American Legion Oratorical Contest for 2012! Tayanna now gets the opportunity to go to Indianapolis as Colorado's representative to the National Oratorical Contest.
• Class of 2013 would like to invite WWII veterans to our Ring Dance on 18 May 2012. Our theme this year is 1940s/WWII with the slogan "A Toast to the Host"

Upcoming Events

• The national finals contest will be April 13-15, 2012, at the University Place Conference Center & Hotel, 850 W. Michigan St., Indianapolis. Quarterfinal and semifinal contests will be Saturday, April 14th. The championship contest will be Sunday, April 15th.
